Ok so I previously asked whether this was fact or fable... Is taking the placenta beneficial to mom's during that 4th trimester?... Well, I did it! I had my placenta encapsulated by the lovely #yellowbirdbirthdoulas in Chilliwack and whether or not it was a placebo effect or the real deal, I certainly found it helped me! So that's a win no matter which way I look at it!
Why did I feel it helped and was a positive?
I felt I never went through the "baby blues". Did I have hard day's? YES! what mom doesn't! Recognizing the difference between a hard day and whether or not there is more going on is key. So here I am 3 months postpartum, just finished my last pill and I am very happy I made the choice to give this a try!
Placenta encapsulation: My view, is that it helps so your body doesn't go from pregnant to not in a matter of the delivery of a baby! I felt my hormones were regulated and slowly transitioned to "not pregnant" if you will...
I wanted to give my clients first hand experience in terms of encapsulation, and although it is merely an opinion, and everyone should make their own choices, I definitely would do it again if I have another child ❤️
